"Is this okay, Frank? How about this one? Can we ever please you, Frank?"

Frank Lloyd Wright was quite dead, yet his presence could be felt throughout Fitting Group headquarters. Asked to design a logo for Fallingwater, Wright's masterpiece, we were confident we would please the client. But could we make Frank smile down from the heavens (if that's where he was)? Or would he look upon us as fools?

Fear, on occasion, is a marvelous motivator and this was one of those times. The logo is a faithful interpretation of Wright's philosophy of "organic architecture" — a harmony between man-made and natural structures — with hand-drawn lines used to construct the geometric essence of Fallingwater.

The client immediately knew that this, indeed, was a true recreation of Wright's vision.

"Genius," they said. "Frank would have loved it."

Minutes after they left, an eerie voice wafted through the conference room, "Somehow, I would have done it differently."
